A Conversation With Marie-Elisabeth St-Laurent
What do you like best about your job?
Getting to work with different people, old or young, active and less active. I like that I can help in their recovery, and help them enjoy life a bit better.
What do you like best about your profession?
The learning! It’s non-stop and it keeps me on my toes; no two people are alike.
What do you like best about Sportmed’s affiliation with UdeM:
I enjoyed being involved with the student community during my studies, and thought the opportunity here would be great as well!
I understand that you volunteer your physiotherapy services at some local sporting events?
Outside of the office, you’ll often see me in my role as a physiotherapist at hockey games and artistic gymnastic events. But I have to say, I had the privilege of working with an amputee-athlete during a triathlon, and it was one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever done!
